5.1 Equipment test plan contents

This chapter describes the key elements of an EMC test plan for equipment. This document must provide all the information necessary for EMC qualification of the equipment. It is therefore necessary to go beyond the specifications, which describe the tests to be performed in general terms: it must include the equipment's operating modes, a description of the means of implementing the tests, the severity levels, and the fault criteria. All this information relates to the equipment: it will not be included in the specifications. It is therefore the responsibility of the equipment manufacturer to specify all this information.
