1. Position of shielded cables in the topology of an electrical installation

The topology of an electrical installation generally concerns the description of its physical links, materialized by active conductors carrying electrical signals of all kinds, to which are added passive conductors embodied by shielding and earth and ground circuits. For purely didactic reasons, we often prefer to describe topological concepts borrowed from deliberately simplified examples. Such is the case with the installation shown in figure 1 , consisting of electronic equipment comprising a transformer T, the secondary of which is connected to the input of an amplifier A by a shielded two-wire cable. A sensor C delivering low-amplitude signals is connected to the transformer primary by a coaxial cable. The elements of the schematic shown in fine lines will therefore constitute the signal...
