2. Quality and continuity of power supply

2.1 Objectives

Quality is defined as the ability of a product to satisfy a user's needs. The quality of a power supply therefore depends on what the customer expects. Customer expectations have changed considerably in recent years, as the uses to which electricity is put have themselves changed. Equipment is generally more demanding in terms of electricity quality, and the consequences of non-quality of distribution are often greater, because electricity plays a major role in many industrial processes and everyday equipment.
