1. Networks and substations
Sources of electrical power generation, particularly nuclear or hydroelectric power plants, are generally located far from centers of consumption, i.e. industrial centers and cities. Energy is transported over long-distance, high-volume power links, which perform an energy transmission function. Maintaining and developing these transmission networks is inextricably linked to the development of generation facilities. In fact, the network provides the essential link between producers and end consumers for the transport of energy, while also ensuring other essential functions such as security of supply and mutual backup between countries within the framework of interconnected networks.
