1. General

Overhead power lines are government property located on the property of others. This imposed cohabitation implies obligations of reciprocal respect of agreements which aim to ensure good conditions of operation of the structures and safety of people and property in the vicinity of these structures.

The purpose of maintenance is to ensure that these conditions are met over time.

Preventive maintenance involves examining components, after dismantling if necessary, and replacing any damaged parts.

Periodic maintenance is repeated identically according to time-dependent cycles or other criteria.

Scheduled maintenance is carried out according to a provisional intervention schedule.
