What is commonly referred to as a line visit actually corresponds to the term inspection, as defined internationally. No dismantling is carried out, except perhaps in certain special cases, where the clamps are opened by climbing onto the supports.

The objectives of a visit naturally include :

  • equipment monitoring ;

  • preventive maintenance of this equipment;

to which must be added the surveillance and maintenance of the areas surrounding the structures and the modifications made to these areas, in all places, and particularly in areas with a high density of buildings and vegetation, so that the EDF overhead line directives and, at the very least, the requirements of the Technical Order of April 2, 1991 are respected.
