It should be noted that voltage pulse methods using capacitive coupling, the standing wave method, and methods using loops at the cable head have now been abandoned in France. They will not be discussed in this article. Please refer to the bibliography, mainly to the first editions of Henri HUBIN's book, for descriptions.
