In this section, we present the major industrial and scientific fields in which fiber lasers are used, as well as a few more marginal applications that nevertheless demonstrate the advantages of these sources. Of course, this brief presentation does not claim to be exhaustive, and the field of applications is evolving rapidly with technological developments.
