3. Equipment and tools

As we have already pointed out on several occasions, there is a strong similarity with the manufacturing processes for rigid circuits. This section describes the specific machines and tools required to manufacture flexible or flexible-rigid circuits.

For the preparation of flexible panels, coverlays and adhesive sheets, a good-quality cutter is all you need. Automatic machines are available for materials supplied in rolls. Cutting or sawing machines, used for rigid materials, are prone to burr formation.

For the multiple drying operations, the ovens are equipped with dryers from which the flexible panels are suspended.
