1.1 Design verification

As described in the previous article: Flexible printed circuits. Design , special design rules must be observed in order to obtain a circuit with the required characteristics. Before starting actual manufacture, it is necessary to check that the circuit conforms to the design standards. This check includes the following points:

• circuit construction and choice of materials, in particular the thickness of the circuit in relation to the required flexibility characteristics, and the thickness of the adhesive layers in relation to the thickness of the copper layer;

• circuit density: size and tolerance of traces and pads;
