4. Conclusion

This article, devoted to radio waves established in a conducting cylinder, dealt with various phenomena related to propagation along the radial coordinate. The introduction of analytical solutions for electric and magnetic fields, presented in the form of Bessel functions, led to even simpler expressions, justified by the low-frequency or high-frequency criteria discussed at length in the text.

The numerical data adopted as an example were mainly based on a cylinder of moderate conductivity close to the average values found in the biological material making up the human body. Various simulations were undertaken to assimilate the cylinder to a rudimentary dummy placed in direct contact with a voltage source or immersed in the electromagnetic fields produced by a plane radio wave.
