 INTRODUCTION

Superconducting analog-to-digital converters (ADCs, or encoders) benefit from the specific advantages of the quantum behavior of superconducting materials: very low power dissipation, high speed and, above all, quantization of the magnetic flux to achieve linearity superior to that of semiconductor ADCs. Their performance meets the requirements of the RADAR and telecommunications fields.
