7. Radio network planning

Unlike analog or GSM networks, radio network planning in a UMTS network does not involve defining a frequency reuse pattern and a minimum spacing between frequencies in the same cell. In fact, the problem of radio frequencies is much simpler to solve, while that of planning coding sequences, OVSF codes and scrambling codes emerges.
