2. Regulations

The French Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has issued three decisions regulating amateur radio activity:

• n° 97-452 dated December 17, 1997 allocating frequency bands for the operation of amateur radio installations, published in the Journal officiel de la République française on March 13, 1998 ;

• n° 97-453 dated December 17, 1997 setting the conditions for the use of amateur radio installations and the issuance of amateur radio operator certificates and designators, published in the Journal officiel de la République française on May 25, 1998 ;

• n° 97-454 dated December 17, 1997 relating to examination programs for amateur radio operator certificates, published in the Journal officiel de la République française on May 25, 1998.
