5.1.1 HEVC/H.265 version 1 profiles
As with other MPEG standards, the HEVC/H.265 "toolbox" has been subdivided into subsets called profiles, to target different applications (table 7 ). In the first version of HEVC/H.265, only three profiles were standardized.
