  • ULB systems offer many advantages in the field of electromagnetic detection:

    • high resolution ;

    • the ability to penetrate opaque media;

    • a solution for detecting "discrete" targets that are only discrete in a narrow band of frequencies.

    The architecture of ULB radar depends on the waveform it generates, the radiation mode chosen for transmission, and the associated acquisition system. For military applications, pulsed ULB is of great interest in terms of discretion, since the radiation typically lasts a few nanoseconds, making it difficult to intercept.
