Conclusions

Photogrammetry, an ancient topometric technique that was once thought to be reserved for national cartographic surveys, has undergone a major facelift thanks to advances in many other fields, and particularly in available computing power, and can now be widely employed in the topographer's palette of everyday tools. Once the preserve of highly-trained technicians, it has been considerably democratized, and should be familiarized with before tackling any 3D measurement where precision must be guaranteed. An old hand, but one with a bright future!
