System architecture
A system's architecture is defined by a set of element classes and the constraints applied to them.
Architecture element classes include :
software components ;
connectors (external properties of these components) ;
relationships between components and connectors.
Constraints on elements are defined in terms of the characteristics expected of an architecture, such as maximizing independence or extensibility, minimizing response times, facilitating reuse, and so on.
