3. Reasoning
Reasoning can be defined as a sequence of statements or symbolic representations directed towards a goal, which can take a variety of forms: demonstrating, convincing, elucidating, interpreting, deciding, justifying, explaining and so on.
Such a sequence is an important feature of reasoning. It is generally non-linear and requires backtracking, which is present in almost all AI systems, just as it is in human reasoning.
