LHN

High-level language. A programming language such as C, C++, Java, etc. that is translated into machine language by a compiler.

CISC

Computer with complex instruction set. A CISC instruction set has variable-length instructions, and calculation instructions work on data contained in registers or memory.

RISC

Computer with reduced instruction set. A RISC instruction set has fixed-length instructions, and calculation instructions work on data contained only in registers.

UAL

Arithmetic and logic unit. Hardware operator that performs arithmetic operations (addition and subtraction), logical operations (and, or, nand, nor, etc.), shifts, rotations, etc. on 32-bit (respectively...
