6. Conclusion

The question that often arises in the implementation of techniques by companies is whether it is the evolution of techniques that drives companies to change. Or, if it's the evolution of demand (i.e. the market) with which companies are confronted, which calls for the development of new, even more efficient techniques. In the field we have just described, we consider the techniques to be mature and robust. They have proved their worth and, financially, they represent investments that SMEs and SMIs are ready to make. Overall, we are convinced that the technical solutions are currently available and that the legal framework is not an obstacle.

The proof is in the pudding, as companies and public authorities alike embrace the so-called digital economy. For companies, it's a question of boosting productivity while taking their place in globalizing markets. For some...
