5. Conclusion

Other simulations could have been performed, and it would have been particularly interesting to take catalyst aging into account. The evolution of catalyst activity is often poorly understood. This synthesis could also have been simulated in other types of reactors (fluidized bed) or with other types of feed (staged feed) or by choosing other kinetic models. However, the purpose of this report is to draw the reader's attention to the choice of an appropriate model for predicting the stable operating conditions of a reactor. This is all the more important given that the reactions involved are exothermic.
