5. Conclusion

If a new concentration unit is to be installed in a plant, it is necessary to gather the information needed to guide the choice of the most appropriate solution.

First of all, it's important to be familiar with product characteristics (composition, heat sensitivity, viscosity, density) and how these vary with temperature. The temperature range the product can withstand is a determining factor.

Of course, we need to define the main product and the capacities (hourly, daily) required during peak periods, from which the size of the equipment is derived. Turn-downs must also be considered, as they can lead to fouling due to lack of wetting, if not integrated at the design stage.
