A distinction is made between alkali silicoaluminate and soda silicoaluminate concretes, according to the reaction principle of the components.
2.1 Alkaline silicoaluminate concretes
Alkali silicoaluminate concretes result from the reaction of alkali hydroxides and/or silicates (mainly sodium) with silicoaluminous components such as blast furnace slag, metakaolin and fly ash (table 1 ).
