4.1 Interaction in a pair of molecules

Theory relates the physical properties of a fluid to the analysis of the interaction of models . There are various interaction models, the simplest of which involve only two parameters, and among these for non-polar molecules the Lennard-Jones model has proved to be well suited. Recall the Lennard-Jones 12-6 interaction potential: φ=4ε(σr)12(σr)6
