Overview

ABSTRACT

This article assembles viscosity data of organic compounds whose empirical formulas range from C7 to C18. Tabulated values were determined from experimentally determined data based on pressure and temperature, and obtained by smoothing. The accuracy of the tabulated data is highly variable as it depends on the accuracy of the experimental source. Therefore, it varies as to the fluid studied and the temperature and pressure ranges taken into consideration. The compounds presented in the tables have been classified according to their empirical formula, in ascending order of the numbers of carbon and hydrogen atoms.

 INTRODUCTION

In the present dossier [K 495] , continued from [K 494] , we have collected viscosity data for organic compounds with crude formulae ranging from C 7 to C 18 .

As with previous data, the tables are based on experimentally determined data as a function of pressure and temperature.

For further information on viscosities under pressure, please consult the other files in this series:

[K 493] – Viscosity. Experimental data. Inorganic compounds under pressure ;

[K 494] – Viscosity. Experimental data. Organic compounds under pressure – 1 concerning compounds with gross formula ranging from C 1 to C 6 .
