4. Homolanthanide coordination polymers

Coordination polymers, due to their polymeric nature, are most often highly insoluble. By way of illustration, a technique for quantitative chemical analysis of rare earths includes a precipitation step for rare earth oxalates (C 2 O 4 2– ) (ISO standard 2355) (figure 12 ).
