6. Conclusion
Over the next few years, the physical concepts that enable better energy management in buildings will remain unchanged, but the technologies used will evolve considerably.
The notion of an energy mix will be deployed at building level, and the concepts of self-consumption (based, for example, on PV production, as is already the case) and energy storage will come to the fore. The use of carbon-based energy sources will be penalized.
Renovation of existing buildings (including old buildings) will become one of the main levers for improving the energy efficiency of the building stock.
