The vast majority of buildings already exist. The renewal rate in France is around 1% per year, so the public authorities are focusing their efforts on building renovation. Actions to be taken will focus on both the building envelope and the associated energy systems.
3.1 Actions on the building envelope
Energy management in an existing building begins with reducing heat loss (or heat gain in summer) from the building envelope. To achieve this, each component of the envelope must be considered.
