3. Heat sources

After detailing the refrigeration cycle and analyzing its technical limitations, we'll take a look at the heat sources on the cooling side.

Depending on the type, there are different constraints and limitations. Energy is drawn from so-called renewable sources. Some are naturally renewable, others require regeneration.

3.1 Cold source on air

Air is the only cold source that can be used anywhere (unless temperature and acoustic constraints apply). It is naturally renewable, so no precautions need to be taken when using it, and no regeneration cycle is required. This reduces installation costs.
