3.1 Cyclic deformation

Thanks to the numerous cyclic tests described above, and EBSD (Electron Back Scattering Diffraction) and TEM observations carried out on selected specimens after fracture, the effect of cyclic deformation and dwell time on microstructural evolutions has been intensively studied. Subgrain size is initially of the order of 0.5 µm and total dislocation density 1-2 10 14 m -2
