Austenitic Stainless Steels; Aciers inoxydables austénitiques

Fe-Cr-Ni-(Mo) alloys covering around 80% of market requirements. They have an austenitic structure. They are paramagnetic (non-magnetic). They are generally supplied in the hyper-hardened condition, but can also be supplied in the work-hardened condition when high mechanical properties are required.

Austenitic-ferritic or duplex stainless steels; Duplex Austenitic-Ferritic Stainless Steels

Fe-Cr-Ni-(Mo) alloys with a high chromium content (25%) and a two-phase structure (50% austenite/50% ferrite). Their mechanical properties are higher than those of austenitic steels. They are ferromagnetic. They are generally supplied in the hyper-hardened condition.
