copper-plating

Process consisting in applying a copper coating to the surface of parts to be protected from oxidation or to be copper-plated prior to a treatment incompatible with the material of the part.

electrolytic copper-plating

Process for producing a copper coating from a suitable bath using a current source.

electroless copper-plating

Chemical process for producing a copper coating involving a reducing agent and a catalytic surface.
