6. Industrial installation

An industrial cataphoresis plant (figure 3 ) will be located downstream of the surface treatment plant and will comprise the following components.

  • The cationic soaking tank

    It is made of ordinary steel, electrically insulated and coated with an epoxy anti-corrosion paint.

    Its dimensions are calculated according to the parts to be painted and production rates. In the automotive industry, volumes can vary from 200 to 400 m 3 !

  • The weir

    It is installed at the bath outlet to maintain the level, eliminate foam and prevent backflow along the walls.
