Superhydrophobia is not confined to plants. It is also present in other living beings such as insects, birds, fish, reptiles and even mammals with shells. Figure 23 gives an overview of self-cleaning/antifouling surfaces, with a few emblematic examples, some of which will be described in detail. Some surfaces may even be amphiphilic.
