How do I declare my products under Biocid (biocidal products)?

Those who place a biocidal product on the market have a regulatory obligation to declare it under Biocid :

• their biocidal products (BP) before they are placed on the market (article L. 522-2 of the French Environment Code);

• their quantities placed on the market in the previous year (article L. 522-3 of the French Environment Code).

The aim of these declarations is to help the authorities gain an overview of all products placed on the market because of their hazardous nature (i.e. products used to destroy, repel or render harmless harmful organisms).

It is therefore essential to comply with this obligation by identifying the products concerned, the information to be declared and the declaration method.
