1. Determine its dates of application

The requirement to display a UFI number on the label of a chemical product (Article 25.7 of règlement CLP ) came into effect on different dates depending on the use of the product:

• January 1, 2021, for products used by consumers and professionals; January 1, 2021, for products used exclusively by professionals.

• January 1, 2024, for products intended for industrial use. ^{January 1, 2024, for products intended for consumer use.}

It therefore applies to the majority of mixtures placed on the market.
