1. Check the quantities of substances involved in registration

It is important to check, through a critical analysis of your registration obligations, whether you benefit from registration exemptions for your substance in question or for certain uses of the substance.

If certain uses of your substances are exempted from registration under REACh, you are not obliged to include the exempted quantities in the calculation of your annual tonnage used to determine your registration deadline.

These are the following exemptions:

  • if the substance is used in the composition of foodstuffs intended for human or animal consumption in accordance with règlement n° 178/2002 ;
