1. Identify the products concerned

Before embarking on the SYNAPSE declaration of chemical products, you need to determine which products are covered by this declaration. The questions to ask are outlined below.

1.1 Does the use of the product I'm marketing fall within the scope of the SYNAPSE declaration?

Some uses are not covered by SYNAPSE declarations. These are :

  • medicines for human or veterinary use;

  • cosmetic products;

  • radioactive products ;

  • foodstuffs and their components;

  • animal feeds and their components;

  • products intended for research and development that are not marketed...
