The aim is to assess the existing situation prior to the commissioning of the planned facilities, in terms of sites and landscapes, flora and fauna, natural environments and biological balance, neighborhood amenity (noise, vibrations, odors, light emissions), agriculture, public health, hygiene and safety, protection of material assets and cultural heritage, with particular attention to water, air, soil and subsoil.

Knowledge of these elements is a prerequisite for assessing the direct, indirect, temporary and permanent effects of the planned facility on the environment, which form the basis of the impact study.
