4. Master the obligations arising from the marketing of a stock item

You have identified your REACh status when placing your stock of substances on the market. Three situations are possible:

  • If you have a stock of substances purchased in the EEA, you are a downstream user. Your obligations relate to the dissemination of information and the safe use of the substance.

  • You have a stock of a substance and are going to stop producing and/or importing it before the registration deadline; you will be a substance distributor. Your obligations relate to the dissemination of information.

  • If you have a stock of a substance and are not going to stop producing and/or importing it after the registration deadline, you are a manufacturer and/or importer. Your obligations relate to registration. The level of these obligations increases according to your tonnage...
