2. What are the obligations for a stored substance purchased in the EEA?

As your substance supplier is based in the EEA, you are considered a downstream user. You therefore have no obligation to register under REACh. Your obligations relate to the dissemination of information and the safe use of the substance (implementation of appropriate risk management measures, etc.).

Important: if your supplier has not fulfilled his registration obligations after the registration deadline laid down in Article 23 of the REACh Regulation, he can no longer supply you with his substance. You may, however, continue to use the substance supplied to you before the registration deadline.
