2. What are the key points in organizing an expedition?

2.1 Rules for mixed loading

The first point to consider when organizing a shipment is to check that the various dangerous goods involved in the shipment can actually travel in the same transport unit. This means referring to ADR § 7.5.2, and checking that the goods being transported are compatible in pairs. Generally speaking, in land transport, this means not loading class 1 substances (explosives) with goods of other classes. This check does not apply to goods packed in "limited" or "excepted" quantities (cf. Transport in packages: What exemptions are there for small quantities?
