3. Determine classification based on preparation-specific data

If you have information on the intrinsic properties of the preparation, it is necessary to assign an R-phrase or not for each data item.

For each hazard category, the level of information may vary. The need for preparation-specific data on a hazard category is defined in the respective regulations applying to the preparation in question.

If several data of equivalent quality exist for the same hazard category, it will be necessary to consider the most protective data when classifying the preparation.

The classification of the preparation on the basis of a test carried out with the preparation will cover the classification carried out on the basis of component-specific data (see step 4).
