4. Monitor application of the standard in the field

You will regularly check that good PPE storage and maintenance practices are being observed.

During targeted visits to workshops and workplaces, you will check with employees that they are familiar with storage and maintenance criteria.

You will also check that :

  • the condition of premises and equipment is in line with internal standards;

  • PPE is removed, maintained and stored in accordance with these standards;

  • contaminated equipment and waste are properly isolated and disposed of.

These field checks will also enable you to verify that PPE is actually being used, and to identify any changes in operating conditions.
