3. Train users on the repository

At the end of the two previous steps, you have obtained an internal reference manual for the storage and maintenance of PPE. For each PPE item in question, you are now going to describe the necessary storage and maintenance conditions based on this standard, and inform/train employees about these best practices. During these awareness-raising or training sessions, you will emphasize :

  • the importance of hygiene and safety rules when storing and maintaining PPE;

  • the importance of applying these rules.

Illustrate this awareness with examples of what not to do. You could mention situations where failure to comply with these rules has led to an employee's health or that of his or her family being endangered (examples of contaminated PPE taken home, street clothes stored with...
