1. Formulation of chemical products and provision of MSDS to third parties
The main regulation governing the publication and distribution of SDSs is the REACh regulation. Mixtures are explicitly mentioned in the articles dealing specifically with SDSs (articles 31 to 36), irrespective of whether or not the components of the mixture are subject to the registration process under this regulation.
According to the REACh regulation (article 3 paragraph 2) and the CLP regulation (article 2 paragraph 8), this definition stipulates that "a mixture is a mixture or a solution consisting of two or more substances".
Note that the term "mixture" replaces the term "preparation" used in previous regulations.
You are obliged to update your SDSs without delay (according to the wording of article 31.9 of the REACh regulation) in the cases...
