2. How do you update the SDSs for your substances?
Updating an SDS involves a logical sequence of actions. After determining the need for revision (step 1), you need to find out whether the composition of the substance has changed since the previous edition of the SDS. This may be due to a change in industrial process, raw material, specification, etc.
You need to identify each component (the active ingredient and its impurities, additives, etc.) and its harmonized classification, if any (see What to do when a substance has a harmonized CLP classification?
