4. What impact will this have on the classification of mixtures (and substances containing impurities)?
If you need to classify and label a mixture, there are generally several methods available, depending on the type of information you have:
use of mixture data;
principle of extrapolation or classification based on the components of the mixture.
If you are relying on the components of the mixture and the mixture contains a substance with a harmonized classification, you must take this information into account. This is because the classification of the substance may determine the classification of the mixture for certain hazard classes.
