2. How to prepare the closing meeting during the audit?

To prepare for the closing meeting, it is important to remember its purpose: "to present the audit findings and conclusions" (ISO19011: 2011 - Guidelines for auditing management systems).

At the closing meeting, you present a summary of the audit. Bear in mind that this summary should be in line with the contents of the audit report. It's important that the main messages are consistent between what you say at the closing meeting and what you write in the audit report.

It's also important that the closing meeting reflects the various findings made throughout the audit: there should be no surprises at the closing meeting, you're reporting a summary.
